My Healing Garden

A place to calm my spirit and rejuvenate my soul.
It's where I go to free my mind and refresh my body.
Where I find myself seeking enlightenment.
I've sculpted the earth into a place I hold very dear to me. A space for inspiration, a viewing point for natures' beauty.

My garden embraces me when I enter it. It holds the growing gifts I received from family, friends and my travels.
Each plant having a story, a place, a person within it.
As I meander through it's paths they greet me and I smile.

Gathering stones and pebbles found on adventures through the woods, creeks and places I've visited, scattering these among my plants. A reflective pond with waterfalls sets in the background, my husband and I dug by hand that summer long ago. Filled with love and my Japanese koi, patiently awaiting to be gazed upon. Tucked away niches to meditate in, as I search for contentment.

My Favorite, a tranquil Japanese teahouse my son and husband built for me. It welcomes me to come, sit for a spell at days end.

My garden holds wonderful memories and the simple beauty of nature. My wind chimes and mosaics surround me and comfort me there. Bringing me reflections of color, movement and sounds to sooth my soul.
~~~~~~~~
Weather it's a small corner of your yard or porch. To an elaborate extension of your outdoor living space. Create your own sanctuary. A place to reflect, a gathering place for friends and family. To grow sustenance and healing herbs. A place to nourishing the body and the mind.
I find much comfort in My Healing Garden.
